When Twitter announced that it would be discontinuing Vine, many users on social media were left saddened. After all, it made a tremendous impression on the social media world that we live in today, particular among those that demand entertainment. Vine's existing content will remain, so it's not like our favorite videos will be gone forever. However, Long Island advertising agencies can tell you all about the things that Vine has taught us. The star power associated with Vine cannot be ignored, either. Thomas Sanders, for example, might not have been as well-known had it not been for the influence of this platform. More established celebrities like Josh Peck gained audiences on Vine, too, which showed that it was more than just a niche social network. This service yielded the attention of many and no Long Island advertising agency will be able to disagree.

More than anything else, it would seem, Vine reaffirmed the importance of video in the digital age. While it's possible to reach people through written content and audio alike, it seems like video is the most digestive form of media in the world today. Everyone watches it, regardless of the subject matter, and it has become easier to host as well. Even though Vine cannot be used for this purpose anymore, other platforms exist for your benefit.

Vine might be remembered as nothing more than an entertainment platform in the long run, but it was so much more than that. For 3 years, it became a tool that content creators could use in order to get themselves out into the open. It made for not only some of the funnier videos on the Internet, but the more creative ones as well. It's hard to say if anything will take Vine's place, which might be the most telling aspect of all.
