Most people believe that this whole concept is premised on a coach telling you how you are supposed to run your business. This is absolutely not the way it goes as the coach only provides assistance on your ideas and not on how to run your own business. They offer different perspectives or insights into an existing situation and then you decide whether to use them or not.

You could be thinking that executive coaching is just another management fad just like other people out there believe. This is certainly not the case as it has been in existent for the last 20 years albeit in many guises. Its demand and popularity has just increased as businesses try to adjust to the harsh economic times being experienced currently but it is not a passing fad.

The concept is also viewed as an expensive affair by many people including yourself. However, this is not the position as it directly assists your organization by ensuring that your executives are guided on what they apply in their learning. It ought to be viewed as an investment and not as a cost.
