Tips On Increasing Response Rates On Webpage 101

By Yussef Smith

Perhaps you have just started a blog. However, you have this feeling that you are in a ghost town. Somehow, no one is responding to any of your blog post. As an aspiring blogger, it can be quite discouraging. Well, don't lose hope yet! It is definitely possible to get more people to comment, like or retweet your blog post. Let me share a few tips with you.

The first thing you need to ensure that you have a relationship with your respondents first. Capture their email addresses and send them valuable emails BEFORE asking them to fill up your survey. If your audience knows you, there's a great chance you will have a better response rate. Before sending the email that contains the link to your survey, tell your subscribers beforehand that you're going to send a survey.

When it comes to the actual survey itself, there are two things you need to consider are the design and the questions itself. Keep your survey forms clean and short, preferably one question on one page. Again, make your questions interesting and relevant.

If you need help formulating the questions, ask a professional to do it for you. Surveys are a great way to get information about your product or service, however, the truth is that most people are too lazy or too busy to fill them out, which is why you need to make your surveys as effective as they can be to your audience.

Most surveys suffer from low response rates but you can remedy this by also giving your respondents a good reason to share their time with you. Offer them a discount to your product or service. If this is your first time to send a survey, experiment with different survey formats and strategies until you get a winning formula. Don't give up until you have at least 70% of the people you invite taking your survey.
